You might be curious as to what this section is about, but it basically covers the benefits of adapting certain Paleo behaviors beyond Paleo diet and exercise. It comprises #2, 6-10 of the Primal Laws as well as some tips about living simply that I believe strongly in. As a small business owner and elite athlete, I know that the time demands of today’s modern world can make it difficult to incorporate some if these suggestions. However, if you view them as in investment, both in your health and energy, the returns down the road will pay you back greatly. Some of these principles only require common sense and no time investment at all.

This is a special section that’s not Paleo specific per-se, but in my mind it has a lot do with embracing the Paleo lifestyle. Not only this, it’s just some great ideas to simplify your life and reduce your footprint.

These are mostly hygiene products using all natural ingredients without harsh chemicals. There’s also a few things to help you play and use your brain (other than books).

I have a question. I love to hike and do things outdoors, but we have a newborn daughter (2.5 mts) and I am not sure how safe it would be to take her out on these walks etc. what are your thoughts on exercise with a new born ?

I’m no pediatrician or expert in infants, but it is not uncommon for indigenous people (and even some people in countries such as China and Japan) to perform their daily tasks and jobs while keeping their children in a special backpack. I would say as long as you feel confident in your hiking ability and have a pack that your child is comfortable in, then go for it! Maybe wear a big hat to keep the sun out of his/her face too. I personally think that fresh air, sunshine, and varying environmental stimuli are good for any human, regardless of age. Hope this helps!

I’ve started following your recommendations almost two weeks ago, and am glad to say it has been working out great. I shed a few pounds very quickly, and while I have remained physically active before starting the paleo diet I have noticed a huge difference in how I feel during a good romp around outside or during a hike. Thanks for all the help, this website has been a huge motivation.
